Jenny is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Since 2008 Jenny has been helping families and individuals suffering from the severe symptoms of trauma. She has also dedicated much time to developing and implementing relationship-based, trauma-informed programming for the young women at Solstice RTC and Solstice East. Jenny has specialized training in EMDR and Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Both of which she feels are approaches that provide incredible opportunities to fully heal from all kinds of traumatic experiences in life including everything from pre-verbal attachment traumas to medical procedure traumas to physical and sexual abuse traumas.
Jenny considers herself to have had a lot of experience and success in treating trauma, attachment, family systems, and a variety of women’s issues such as self-harm, body image, identity, eating disorders, OCD and relationship issues, but would consider herself a perpetual learner in these areas rather than an expert. She feels that the fields of neuroscience and mental health are continuously providing new and better research about how to more effectively treat people who suffer from mental health and emotional disturbance issues and it is committed to always providing her clients with the most efficient and effective opportunities to heal. At the foundation of Jenny’s approach as a therapist are two beliefs: 1. Healthy relationships can facilitate healing and 2. Healing can facilitate healthy relationships. Therefore, she is a passionate advocate for creating relationship-based programming that is a reflection of the way that people in the whole system are with each other. Jenny’s other full-time job is being a mom. When not at Solstice, she can typically be found with hiking, enjoying the mountains, or playing on her hobby farm with her beautiful family that includes 3 children and an incredible husband.
