Elevations RTC

Elevations RTC  is a leading provider of residential treatment. We provide intensive, highly professional, therapeutic programming which utilizes an interdisciplinary approach. Our program includes: college preparatory academics, therapeutic recreation activities, and individual, family and group psychotherapy.

In a co-educational environment, teens are provided with a setting similar to what they would find in a traditional “real world” high school.

Our clinical philosophy is based upon Systemic, Relational and Social Learning theories. Within the integrated framework of these three theories, the treatment team at Elevations RTC individualizes treatment based on the family’s needs.

Master’s or doctoral level clinicians provide individual, group, and family therapy. Highlights of our clinical program include; 25+ hours of weekly clinical and therapeutic services, expertise in ADHD, Executive functioning, Trauma work utilizing EMDR, and Trauma-Focused CBT, Substance Use, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy.

Our Therapeutic Recreation Services address the adolescent’s need for physical, emotional and mental outlets through structured physical fitness, outdoor education, experiential education, community service learning and leisure education opportunities. These programs are available to all students and are intended to support treatment goals set forth by each participant’s treatment team.

Judith Jacques
Executive Director - Discover Seven Stars, Elevations RTC & ViewPoint Center

Feeling frustrated by the systemic constraints to affect real change in the lives of adolescents in the public school system, she was on the verge of leaving education altogether. Fortunately, Judith was offered a role as a teacher in a residential treatment center and found a renewed interest in working with students in an environment where students and their needs are a priority.  Judith spent the next 2 years as a teacher, then 10 years as an academic director before moving into operations of a residential treatment center as a program director. She was one of the original founders of Elevations RTC and ViewPoint Center.

Judith loves to spend her time with her family, practicing yoga, and continuing to explore her passion for history.  She combines her passions of travel and history into trips to explore historical sites and examination of the past and how we learn from one another. Judith’s passions have helped shape her personal philosophy and approach in working within a residential treatment setting.

Education – BS in Education from Millersville University of Pennsylvania , MEd in Special Education from Westminister College.

Learning is a social and emotional activity.  If students are not socially and emotionally available little change can be expected in the classroom or at home.  We have to meet them where they are and start with helping them to be open to change.

As a parent of two teenage boys, Jennifer knows enrolling a child in treatment is one of the hardest decisions a parent will make.  Respecting this decision, she is always driven to honor each student and families individualized treatment needs.  Always drawn to the outdoors, Jennifer enjoys spending time hiking with her family and two dogs in the mountains and deserts of Utah.

Tamra Foy
Director of Admissions - Elevations RTC

Tamra has helped families improve the lives of their children in the field of Social Work since 1993. Working in the areas of child protection, foster care, domestic violence, adoption and juvenile probation, have all prepared her for her work at Elevations. Since 2014 Tamra has been an essential part of the Elevations Admissions Team. Tamra’s passion is found in supporting families as they look for a solution specifically designed to address their child’s needs.

Working with families is fulfilling in so many different ways. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing Elevations students a few years after they have left the program being independent, successful, and most importantly having a happy and positive relationship with their parents.

In her spare time Tamra enjoys visiting her family in a small ranching community in Wyoming, where her three boys have the opportunity to work on the family ranch. Tamra also enjoys reading, gardening, camping, watching movies and spending time with her family.
